Love, Compassion, and Self-Acceptance
Let’s talk about love.
Isn’t it fun to feel love for the people in your life?
Think abut the people you love and why you love them, and then just sit and feel the love for a minute. So fun, right?
But what about feeling love for yourself?
Do you feel genuine love for yourself?
I’m not talking about pride or arrogance, I’m talking about love, compassion and self-acceptance.
When I ask my clients about love they often tell me they can love others but they can’t seem to love themselves.
So we work on it. Because you can’t hate yourself to good health.
Loving yourself is a vital piece of leading a happy and healthy life.
If you struggle with this too, try asking yourself these questions…
-What would my life look like if I genuinely loved and accepted myself exactly as I am?
-What things would I start doing?
-What things would I stop doing?
-How would I talk to myself?
-How would I show up differently in my life?
-How would my relationships with others improve?
-How might my health improve?
Really think about it.
And then practice feeling love for yourself.
My belief is that you are infinitely lovable exactly the way you are and there is nothing you can do about it.
I hope you choose to believe this too!
And I hope that you do something really nice for yourself this Valentine’s Day.
Write yourself a love note, acknowledge all of your amazing-ness, and nourish your body, mind and soul.
You deserve it.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
